Underdark

So The first thing that we did as a team was brain storm ideas about what game we wanted to do. I took notes for this. (sorry they are a bit messy) Then for the second meeting we were finalizing an idea and then Andrew had a really good idea about the programming of two worlds flipping and we built "Underdark" from there.  We then made a a list to keep track of everyone. and gave ourselves each nicknames.  After that came the asset list. Which I helped make.  and then Charity made the concept art for it which was awesome.  So I was put on sound design and I made up folders and started to collect sounds that would fit what we needed. Then I started working on modeling the assets. I did the bean bag first. I did the UVs and and Nicole helped me with them and the UVs for a light map since its going to be a static asset.  Then I started working on the bathtub.  Progress. I still have to do more and fix the...

So at first I was planning on doing the tree in Zbrush fully. I relised  this wasn't  going to work out well. I probably could do it but it take alot more work and time. SO i am going to do the low polly in Maya and then do the high poly sculpt in Zbrush.  Then I switched to Maya. Which also gave my some trouble. I asked for some help and then I was told that speed tree could help with even making the surving tree. so I then put the tree on hold and started to work on some other things that are needed. Trey and I did an interview of a student from OC about the bombing memorial. I am in charge of the interviews and the sound quality for it. I stared to work with Logic X pro about cleaning it up. Then I stared to work on the wall that is around the tree. So I got the base of it done finished or so I thought. I definitely struggled with the modelling of this  I forgot the about the stone seat so i had to put that in  the...

Cox Conserves Game

So Griffin and I first started by thinking of 5 five or so game ideas. 5 game idea slides Then we combined 2 of those ideas. The side scrolling shooter and the postapocalitic idea. Then talked about the assets that we needed to make for each level. Asset list Then worked on the art. We deiced to go with a Scribblenauts look where everything is cartoony and a black outline. We also pulled inspiration from Cupphead. So I started to work on the items and the background Then we decided That we only are going to do one level because of the time that we had. And I also got to start figuring out GameSalad and how the coding works. Presentation Slides Then I also had some people critique it and they said to think about "what makes its post-apocalyptic?" So I started to redo the background and environment. So I had Van help me out with a color palette. I so was the person who wrote the backstory.
